Rapid closets are special types of closets that are usually made of wood, laminated wood or metal. Check the closet’s end walls
Check its ends walls with a level and find out whether they conform to the direction. In case they slant to the inside on the bottom, the first cleat has to be mounted afar from the wall. It can let the closet hang plumb.
Extend the level line
The level line should be extended just as far as required, for lining the cleats up. Locate the studs and then mark them over the line, where cleats will conceal the marks. Check the locations of the stud again. Probe it with a nail and make sure that solid wood is hit by the hanging screws.
You have to obtain help in setting the units properly, in the right positions. Avoid twisting or racking the storage units assembled. There could be breaking of the thin particleboard section, close to the connectors.
Take care while screw-tightening
Avoid tightening the mounting screws till the time you join the units with special kinds of 2-part connectors. You require the “slack” for properly aligning the holes. In case the walls of the closet are crooked or wavy, line the shims up by sliding them behind the units.
Set up every full-sized unit
Next, you have to install every unit that is full-sized. You have to complete the modular system by cutting the filler shelves. Lean in the filler shelf at the top from underside, and then set up the shelf clips beneath it. It is difficult to install a shelf, which fits comfortably, from the top.
Ensure uniform space between the drawers
There are adjustable drawer fronts in a few modular systems. You need to make the screws loose enough to get the fronts lined and move them into alignment, ensuring that there is uniform space between the drawers. Finally, you have to drill for the knobs and tighten the screws.
